Where we meet:

Meetings are held the third Thursday each month, 7:00 pm 

Meetings will be at First United Methodist Church (FUMC), 72 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, FL, Room D-3 unless otherwise noted.

2010 PROGRAM & EVENTS SCHEDULE

February 18

 Club meeting with Jim Vanlandingham as our guest speaker. This month we will also have a raffle.

February 27

 Club workshop at Cee Jay Nursery. Bring your own soil if you wish to repot.
March 18 Club meeting: Bring your own tree
March 27 Saturday workshop at Clif Pottberg's.  10 am  Probably working on a forest planting.  Visit the Bonsai! at Pasiminan website for directions.
April 15 Club meeting with Clif Pottberg as our guest speaker. This is raffle month!
April 17 Saturday at 1 p.m.  John's presentation at the Polk Museum of Art.
May There will be no scheduled club meeting this month due to the convention.
May 28 - 31 (Memorial Day weekend) Bonsai Society of Florida!s annual convention will be held at the same hotel as last year (Ramada Celebration). Workshops, demos, raffles, vendors, exhibit...Looks great!!! Check it out in the recent edition of Florida Bonsai, or at www.bonsai-bsf.com

Notes:

Sometimes we will meet at Charlie Swedberg’s shop, 926 E. Oleander Street.  From the Northwest:  take Bartow Rd. to E. Rose St., left onto N. Ingraham Ave., go 1 block then left (West) to E. Oleander St.  2nd building on the right; pull in gate between 2nd & 3rd buildings.

From the Northeast:  Memorial to N. Ingraham Ave., right on E. Oleander St.

From the South:  Bartow Rd. to Ingraham Ave., left on E. Oleander St.

Bring your own tree (BYOT) member workshops are noted on the meeting schedule, if held, they are usually the second Saturday following the meeting, 10:00 am, at Cee-Jay Nursery, 4225 Lake Hancock Road, Lakeland.
